These are stand alone workshops. While there will be opportunities for participants to share what they write, it is not required. This is a low key, informal workshop with an emphasis on writing and reflecting. Commercial St, Suite 2795 East Rochester, NY 14445 Space is limited.A minimum number of students is necessary for this session to run. * * * * * * * * * * * * * VIRTUAL WRITING WORKSHOP: TELL YOURSELF A NEW STORY Thursday, July 8, 2021 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM ET/US Fairport Public Library via Zoom “I can't write a book.” “No one cares what I have to say.” “I'll never have another good idea.” “I'm not really a writer.” These are just some of the stories we tell ourselves that create roadblocks along our creative path. But imagine the possibilities if you could tell yourself a different story! In this session, we'll use reflective writing prompts and fun exercises rooted in the improv principle of “Yes And” to silence the inner critic and turn those self-limiting statements upside down. Visit more than twenty artists and creatives in their studios, tour the galleries, bring home piece of art, and soak up the atmosphere in this magical collaboration. I'll have books, bookmarks,pendants, and frames for sale.You can also check out my "less than perfect" discount bin. Get info on upcoming workshops, and check out some new combination art/writing pieces I'm experimenting with. Central Creatives is located at 349 W. Commercial St, Suite 2795, East Rochester, NY 14445. Park at the end of the mall near PennFair Golf and enter via the single red door. Follow the hallway and take the elevator or stairs to the second floor. There are four entrances to Central Creatives; the closest to my studio is through the Gallery Door, but make sure to wander around, visit the other artists, and explore the galleries.
